GET THE BEST PHOTOGRAPHIC PRINTS FROM YOUR DIGITAL SLR

• To get the best results files should be saved in sRGB colourspace (not CMYK).
  
  
• For prints up to A3 files should ideally be set up at a minimum 200 dpi - maximum 640 dpi. .
• For prints up to A3 save files at the size that you wish them to be printed.(Not necessary when uploading online)
• For prints up to A3 files can be saved as jpg's or tiff's.
  (If uploading online use jpg's)
  
  
• For prints above A3 files should be set up at 305 dpi .
• For prints above A3 files must be saved as tiff's.( No LZW compression please )
• For prints above A3 you can save files by halving the dimensions. See explanation below*.
  
  
• Save your files in folders according to size and finish.(Not necessary when uploading online)
• Flatten images. If you wish to keep your own file in layers then save a copy and flatten it before sending.
• Give files instructional names if they are not within a print size folder i.e. car_20x16gloss_2off.tif (Not necessary when uploading online)
  
  
• If sending on CD please use CD-R's rather than rewritable CD's (CD-RW's)
  
  
• When uploading online once the image is uploaded you can click on the "edit tool" then "crop" option to check that you won't lose any of the image when cropped to the selected print size, or crop as you require.

*Images above A3 can be saved at half the dimensions of the required size print. For example, if you require a 20" x 16", you can half the dimensions, so you can save the file at 10" x 8", our Lightjet 5000 digital printer can interpolate the file up to the required size without losing image quality. Remember to save the file in a 20" x 16" folder when sending via FTP/disc/memory stick.

For different formats, or odd size prints, simply increase canvas size to a normal format. For example, if you require a 10" x 6" print simply increase canvas size to 10" x 8". If you do not do this our printer software automatically enlarges the 6" inch dimension up to 8" and will therefore increase the 10" dimension by the same enlargement ratio and will result in the cropping of the longer dimension. DIGITAL PRINT PACKAGES

A Digital Print Package allows you to have total control of every aspect of your images, from size to colour balance. Our technicians do not colour correct or adjust your files in any way. Please set up your files according to our guidelines above. These prices are for images supplied on CD/DVD/FTP/memory stick
